Oxbow, anglet, world longboard.
6 hours on the road through Spain to join France, I arrived just in time for the Oxbow party organized for the competition.
Lot of riders from the team were present, Duane Desoto, Tom Hebert, Ludo Strohl, David Livet, jennifer Flaningan, Laird Hamilton, Alban meric…
I benefited from the occasion to make some picture of surfing, to meet some legend like Nat Young, to take some clothes for the wedding of Julien Sudrat Saturday…
Thursday we went to eat in a cider restaurant in Spain with riders and journalists.
The cider place looks like a school canteen, large tables, old tilings, and a strong vinegar odor. On the principal wall is embedded enormous cider barrils, a small tap at approximately 1M80 top is planted into the box. Opposite Box, a half barrel cut into two, beveled and bored at the bottom by a small hole. The goal is to hold its glass at the level of this small barrel approximately 2 meters of the wall to air the cider. At the beginning we puts of them 1/3 in glass, 1/3 on his arm and 1/3 on the ground, more glasses are emptied, more we put it on the ground, we have the sticking hands and we ends up filling glass directly to the tap.
Friday the wind was one Shore of 16 knots, small session of kite, rather particular condition, light wind, one Shore, and Shore break, but Laird was in the water in Stand up Paddle, and it was well sympathetic to share this session.
Brazilian Phil Rajzman, will won this world championship of Longboard.
