North of France
I came back from Guadeloupe one week ago, and the weather forecast here was great, I could not resist to go for a good session in the cold of Northern Europe.
Cold!!! not really, even if we are on January 20, and that I am in the North of Europe on the spot of Wissant we are closed to a tropical zone… I explain. In the winter the cycle of low pressure is set up, curiously, the low pressure coming from the west then North disappeared, we get wind from south west and south more and more, the best spots Northern are deserted.
For consequence the winters are softer, windy, who will complain some especially at the kiteboarders, windsurfers or surfers?? The problem it’s that signs, insulated for some, alarming for others recall us that the climate is in full change.
For example (insulated for some and alarming for others) the titles of the newspapers from the north of France this Monday “Two whales living in the pacific ocean fail on the beach in Calais” reporting the fishing of a tiger shark this summer on the coasts of…..l’ island of… ré..
But it was cold not that cold but enough to wear my large wetsuit 5/4, tocame back without feeling in my fingers (and enjoy waves of 2 m in 30 knots of wind…)
But when I knew that 2 kilometers from there a whale which I perhaps crossed in the water in Tahiti, was failed alive with his whale-calf on the beach of Sangatte, there is what ask questions!!
