I’m at the deep end of Indonesia since 15 days, a little out of the world, it took us 4 days to come here, there is no communication, but for sure the soccer world cup came here.
It was almost every days at 2:30am, the wall of my room was the screen for all the village, so i didn’t miss a single game.
Swell are following by other, and wind blows every single day. Perhaps one of the futur hot spot of the kiteboarding planet. Since 15 days: 20knots average.
Yesterday we were looking for a new spot on an island, we went with a local fisherman, we had to turn around and come back, the wind was too strong, (around 30_35knots) and the local boat was going over his limit.
Every day, wake up at 6am, surfing, then kitesurfing in the afternoon, and in bed at 9pm. Breakfast eggs, lunch, fish and noodles, diner, chicken and rice, i also had 1or 2 Beng beng ( a local chocolate bar)
I’m working on my Indonesian day after day, locals are not speaking too much English, so it’s the best way to communicate.
In a few days a boat will come to pick us up, we will spend 2 weeks on it, going a bit south, on some remote island, looking for new wave to ride with a kite.
Then i will spend 1 month on a famous kiteboarding spot for wave in Indonesia.
